World War II ends. Communist Russia starts to conquer many Eastern European countries. These countries are ruled under Communist U.S.S.R. This conquering of countries causes conflicts between Russia and the United States.

Soviet blockade of Berlin begins due to Stalin's feeling of provocation from the West. This causes Truman to begin the Berlin Airlift to supply West Germany with supplies
April 1949
United States forms NATO to block any of Stalin’s communism threats to Western Europe.

To separate East and West Germany and for political and economic reasons Stalin builds the Berlin Wall.

New leader of Soviet Union steps up, Mikhail Gorbachev, towards the end of the Cold War
Velvet Revolution started in Eastern European countires takes away communism and replaces it with Democracy
Once military forces stop partrolling the wall and European tensions dissolve Germans are able to visit both sides.
